Dr Data in da house

This is being addressed and will be fixed in the next few days. It was caused by a complete revamp of the website and a change to the way we deliver the files.

Eish! It's been down for more than three months already, but thanks for the update.

Regarding the other query, do MTN provide any way of getting the airtime balance of a pre-paid number without physical access to the SIM?

Hi Dr D

I know this has been asked before on the forum somewhere and i have phones MTN for help regarding using my SE W900 as a modem. Well we went thru the process but i am still not able to connect.

My PC is seeing the phone as a modem and i am able to dial out as i just tested dialing a normal lan number and its work but when i dial the *99# number they told me to use it just not able to connect.

Any ideas what i can do to sort the problem.

Thanks

If it's a new sim, did you dial 141?
Remove the current settings and profiles for data and internet.
Use the USSD process to get the settings again (*123# Phone Setup then WAP.).
Wait for the settings.
Reboot your phone.
Connect phone to PC.
Start the Sony Mobile Networking Wizard.
When it finds your phone, set up new connection.
Ask it to find the settings on your handset.
Use no password, no username (all blank).
Press connect.
VOILA

Hi
Zeroneo Please send me the number and I will check if all the provisionings are correct, thereafter I will assist you in setting this up.

Hi
I am still trying to fix this with Zeroneo. I am certain its some setting on the handset. He is able to connect to WAP on the handset itself which indicates that the SIM is indeed provisioned correctly. PM me more details of the issue you are having please.
Regards
