I am looking draw plans for my house. Looking at renovating and adding rooms outside.

What is the best for free software that i can use?

A guy that works for a client of mine drew their whole factory with it and uses it to plan future expansions. He even drew the forkslift and trucks, in detail. xD

It has a steep learning curve apparently but very rewarding.

I upgraded to notepad. Gives you better control over the pixels. Editing with a mouse is a copout
