Drifta and Windows 8

Has anybody tried to run the Drifta Decoder program on Windows 8?

When I try do so I receive a message: Sorry, this application cannot run under a Virtual Machine.

I've tried running the app in all the different compatibility modes with no luck

Googled around a bit - found one or two things, briefly tried them but with no luck either.

Managed to track down an older version of the Drifta Decoder software (1.3.1) and that's working.

The new version 1.3.15 is the one giving the problem...and DSTV don't provide links for the old versions on their site. I guessed a couple of version numbers from the download link and managed to get a hold of 1.3.1
