Hi there,

I recently purchased a DSTV Drifta for the sole purpose to keep it on USB either via my Macbook when travelling or on my iMac when at home to use over wifi for my iPad. The reason was that I could watch DSTV on my iPad whilst the drifta is plugged into a usb (so it's always charged). However as soon as I plug the Drifta into a USB the wifi signal goes away. Which means I need to unplug it from the USB before the wifi signal comes back. Is this normal and if so is there a work around as the whole point of me buying it was so that it could always be on charge and I use my iPad to watch it wherever I go.

Thanks

Hmmm... I can't remember now if that's how it worked as I haven't used mine in a while, but if that is the case, why don't you try plugging the Drifta into the mains (USB cable to plug the same way you charge your iPad ect) and see if that works? That way it will always be charged too - just a suggestion, not sure if it will work but worth a try.

Agree, if you do this it will work (using the wall charger). I can confirm that if you plug it into a pc, it turns off the wifi.
