Driver’s licence mess in Tshwane

Urg, I was lucky enough to go through the Online Company process. Was Great! but now I am stuck in this strike situation with the production of cards. My renewal was done in July 2018, still no card! I did it early enough to avoid any issues (my license only expired in December 2018), but still nothing.

I am going abroad for vacation in the near future and I can now not apply for an International Driving permit, rent a car or drive around while I am on vacation in the USA. You cannot get an IDP with a temp license either :mad::mad::mad:

Don't need it.
 
Just checked the list. They removed Akasia and Centurion. There are no centers in Pretoria to be selected anyore

Same here. Did my renewal just as Online Company started and it worked perfectly, even delivered on time with courier! My vehicle was stolen a couple weeks after that with my wallet inside, so I did the whole process again (in July as well) and since then I got nothing..

I went to get a new temporary before going on holiday so I am good till April somewhere.
 
I don't get why people wait for their license to expire and then have to get a temporary license as well. Just makes an inefficient process even more inefficient.

People that have applied in August still for licences expiring in December and still haven't received it are the problem?

Well, that would have been a valid argument except, I renewed mine 6 months before expiry to get it after 6 weeks from then, waaayyyy before it expired. That was 7 months ago and I still don’t have it. In the mean time it has actually expired.
 
Can anyone tell me what to do next? I've applied for my license renewal at Bronkhorstspruit through the now defunct Online Company. I successfully completed the renewal process at Bronkhorstspruit in Jun 2018 and was given proof of the application. Six months later and several trips to the licensing office at Bronkhorstspruit as well as a temporary license, I still do not have a new license. Every time the same response, "not yet received". Also, when submitting a request through the sms facility the reply is "Not yet processed". What must I do, wait until eventually processed or try anapply again?
 
Not just a Tawane problem. Heard from Ekurhuleni people they have the same issues.
 
Is there no way to renew in pretoria? When I try and make an appoint the only options I am getting is roodepoort,vereeniging,randburg,ect...
 
@Newsfeed Any chance of a follow up on the card backlog, and what the Department suggest people like I should do who need an International Driving Permit? A Temp license may solve the enforcement problem in SA, but it cannot be used for an IDP.
