Driver Utility

Download DriverPack Solution, You will find it on any torrent site. It good to have when work on older OS and need drivers, it ok to use for new OS but it still better to download the driver from original vendor. The download is large 10gb.

Do you only have Intel components?
Just get the intel driver update utility. For me it also checks LAN and other drivers on the laptop.
Then get the Nvidea/Catalyst(AMD) control panel for graphics updates.

The only thing you ever need to update is graphics drivers, so Intel HD graphics updates and Nvdiea/AMD graphics drivers.
Intel: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect
AMD: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download (just install the control panel as well)
Nvidea: http://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx (just install the control panel as well)

Thanks! the problem i have is my laptop aint a piece of gold its actually a win7 notebook and i have tried the intel utility but it doesnt find drivers as i loaded it with win8 so i had to manually dl all the win7 drivers as my notebook didnt come with a drivers disc but thanks a bunch for your help

Maybe you should start from Intel chipset (inf) package. Install it, reboot and run Intel utility.

I highly recommend Snappy Driver Utility, 100% free and works on any pc/laptop.
