I have a question regarding drivers license renewal:
I was in Mosselbay for work in May and decided to get my drivers license renewed whilst there- I live in Pretoria. Everything was done...eye test, finger prints etc and I went to the cashier to pay. They then told me my ID was blocked due to an unpaid fine. I had no idea, no notices received and wasn't pulled over. So they couldn't complete the transaction.
The next week I returned to Pretoria and searched online for the infringement. It dated back to 2014 for R250 so I paid it, although I didn't even remember getting the notice. Anyways, all paid up now.
My question: The folks at the Mosselbay drivers license center gave me back all my forms, including the eye test and finger prints. Can I now go to a center here in Pretoria and go straight to the cashier to pay? Since my paperwork has already been done and everything registered.....or will I need to fill in new forms and do the eye test, finger prints all over again, since it was done in another province/municipality?
Any input will be highly appreciated.
