Albereth, I assume you will test out your theory and let us know how it went?
ARREST
Taking someone into custody
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The right to arrest someone depends on a number of factors, such as who is making the arrest and the reason the accused is being taken into custody.

There is nothing here refering to the way the arresting officer is dressed, however failing to pullover for a unmarked vechile or a officer in civies is understandable in todays climate. However in that case I would suggest you hightale it to the nearest marked police vechile or station and tell them your story.
Actually it isn't theory - there have been quite a few cases upheld by the courts for officers failing to be in uniform. Please don't confuse arrest with what I stated. You are not compelled to stop. Do as Syndyre suggests, drive to the local plods.
What I was on about was the spietkops jumping up and down about it and they will generally try and make your life miserable because they are a bunch of megalomaniacs at best. The point is, you'll still be responsible for whatever it was that got them excited in the first place - but anything they try and add like resisting arrest, failure to stop, etc will be irrelevant.
Actually go take a look at your long post with the bold writing some pages back - that says you have to stop for a spietkop in uniform. The uniform is the whole uniform, not just parts of it.
Why I wouldn't want to try it - well it is a huge nuisance. Just because I was within my rights not to stop, it doesn't mean that the 10th grader isn't going to try and add all the charges he can think of.
