I have reloaded XP and now some drivers are missing. I have search the web and found many progs that will automatically scan drivers and update them automatically. Does anybody used one of them and can recommend the best one to download and use please

I'm not a Windows guy, but I wouldn't trust most of those websites/applications. Be careful!

Can't you just find out what hardware you have and go to the official websites? I.E., if you have an HP printer (X12345), go to the HP website and search for drivers for model X12345....

You can also try update the drivers through System > Hardware > Device Manager, XP will use windows update to find the driver.

why use them? just download each individually! What drivers are you missing?

I would stay away from that software - most of it is dodgy.

Its not that difficult to keep the drivers up to date. Just make a note of all the hardware in your machine and get it from the official site.

And don't forget to run Belarc Advisor next time before you format. Then you will know *exactly* what hardware you have and which drivers to download.
