Driving in SA deteriorating...

It isn't the people that is the problem. The general populace will always consist of sub-standard IQ plonkers who are hell bent on pleasing themselves and being selfish. This will never change. The problem is law enforcement. Anger directed at wrong place methinks.

On my way to a friend I was driving in right hand lane.
I'm about to pass two cars on the left, the front one driving quite slowly the one behind him travelling about 20km slower than me cuts in front of me without indicating to overtake him, I have to slam the brakes, and he moves back into the left lane again not indicating.
I look to my left as I passed and the idiot is speaking on his phone so he obviously never had a free hand to indicate.
I really had to dig deep not to react when I stopped next to him at the robots.
I have realised that their selfishness does not bother them at all. No use getting worked up about it.

2 or more lanes, not 3 or more

We have had this argument before... there are a million threads on it.

3 lanes or more. There are threads with links to the law... you can look.

You can't have that rule with 2 lanes because often those roads end up having traffic lights and if you keep left you will get stuck in the turning lane or obstruct people joining the road.

If its a 2 lane 120 km\h national highway.. fine ill keep left, but i'm going to overtake every truck so watch out and make sure you are traveling at a speed so that I can still get in the lane.

If its an 80 km 2 lane road, get stuffed because its going to end in a stop street or a traffic light and i'm not getting stuck behind some one who is turning.

People here now 1 speed, just 1 single speed, 95km/h.

They go 95km/h in the right lane on the high way, no matter if it is a 120, 100 or 80 zone.
They go 95km/h when a 120 zone turns into an 80 zone and continue to go 95 when it goes back to 120
They go 95km/h in an urban 60 zone
They go 95km/h between robots even if they have to break 500 meters later
And they would go 95km/h in a parking lot if it wasn't for the sharp bends...

Pisses me off

It's a losing battle but if you want to have fun with those people who insist on hogging the right lanes at 80km/h in a 120km/h:
Just over take, pull in front and slack off (or hit brakes if you're fuming mad).
Then let them over take you and rinse and repeat until the idiot gets the message (which most don't).
So be a douche...
However I have driven behind people who intentionally block the right hand lane by speeding up and slowing down next to the vehicles to their left.
If you try overtake on the left they accelerate until they are next to another vehicle and then slow down again.
I have no sympathy for them if someone takes them out in rage one day.
But get pissed off when other people do it to you?

Makes perfect sense.

Which is why you need a car fast enough to overtake while they accelerate...

Don't want to stereotype, but they're not as bad as many black lady drivers, who are completely oblivious to the world around them.

Yes, but black lady drivers have peripheral vision. Unlike a Muslim lady with a headscarf or a burkah
