DSC Home Alarm

Why do you want to replace the powerseries?
Exactly. Had mine for > 20 years, with nary a problem.

Then, when I ended up in hospital nearly two years ago, my son fitted an Olarm, and used it to monitor & run the house from Cape Town.

I also like the fact that the DSC is hardwired: it appears that the locals are getting real fancy with signal jammers of late

Incidentally, a friend had a break-in a couple of months back, where the sob's used a GSM cell-jammer to prevent both the alarm calling ADT & her calling ADT from her iPhone. Guy from ADT told her that they are aware of the problem, but thus far have no solution. Any thoughts/suggestions on a solution ?

Not a single one of our outdoor beams is hardwired with our current DSC system and our house is so long we have a DSC wireless repeater at one end of the house so the wireless beams can connect to the main alarm panel.

We only had two partitions, inside and outside in our last house, I never explored more than that.
Our partitions are 1 for inside house
1 for flat another 1 for a second flat and another one for the garage.
