My dsd 720i decoder is making a tick tick tick noise and it isn't coming on. What must I do to get it repaired? How much will it cost for repairs? Or should I just buy a new one?

The 720i is a extremely old decoder
Remember they came out around 2000s
Ours only lasted around 7 years.

But you better off getting a new one
Even back in 2007 when ours failed nobody wanted to touch that decoder, it makes more economical sense to just buy a new one.

You can either get it swapped out at DSTV for R342 or get a new one for R400, recommend the latter, although I'm not a fan of the new decoders without a front panel

Yes, to the nearest MC agent or to MC themselves. They will not swop it, more like throw it away for you

@AshTV, I am not sure where you are located, but I have two of them & you are welcome to have one if you will fetch or pay for shipping.

The Ticking souns is a relay switching that supplies power to the LNB. So possible causes are 1. Faulty power supply or a 2. Faulty LNB.

@AshTV - The other side of the boerewors curtain - Pretoria.

PM me to arrange a courier collection/delivery or something.
