DSD933 Freeze

I have the above decoder, around 3 years old. When it was past a year, it started to occassionally freeze while watching, the menu worked, just no picture or sound. It was not a big issues, did it maybe once a week, a reset by pressing the 2 buttons on the decoder fixed it.

Nowadays, it is doing it at least twice a day, and it's pissing me off. I upgraded the software, my signal is around 70-75%, the decoder does not get hot etc.

Anyone else with similar issues?

I dont want to buy a new single view, and dont need HD PVR, really would love HD single view, any idea when these are coming?

A smartcard swopout should to do the trick. Something like R85 for a new card.

Yes, apparently some corruption occurs in the smartcards which can only be resolved with a new card.
I had the same problem and got the solution from a DSTV techie. No problems since then, although it was a struggle to get the Multichoice agents in my area to accept that they don't know everything and I do not need a new decoder.
