DSL Bundle - Who to sign up with......

Hey guys,

Cancelled Telkom as my ISP due to their FUP not even allowing me to google Panarottis contact details. I basically could no longer access the internet on a UNCAPPED account. I understand the need for a Fair Use Policy but then prioritize and don't cut me off completely.

Anyway, I used to be with Afrihost and never had a days problem, this was over 2 years ago.

Who do you suggest I go with for a 4MB BUNDLED UNCAPPED account?

Axxess?
Afrihost?
Vox?

I'd recommend keeping your line with Telkom (even if it is just for an extra month to make sure all is 100% before moving across to the ISP).

As for which ISP, what do you mainly use the account for - gaming, downloads, streaming, general browsing and what is your average monthly usage? CrystalWeb seem pretty awesome when it comes to uncapped. I think possibly one of the best ISP's for uncapped at the moment.

Axxess and Afrihost run on the same network if I am not mistaken, my international ping is significantly higher with Afrihost / Axxess than it is with my Vox or WebAfrica capped accounts.

I mainly use my account for downloading and sometimes the occasional gaming on my consoles. PS3 and PS4 games are not exactly small in size so I tend to use quite a bit. My average usage is between 170GB and 200GB a month.

There packages doesn't look bad at all. What's your experience with them?

I would probably opt for the 4MB Home Uncapped Bundle.

Do you mean a fast line speed account if you choose home uncapped (So 10Mbit home uncapped while on 4Mbit line) or a slower linespeed on business (4Mbit business uncapped while on a 4Mbit line)?

Basically the thresholds are based on line speed. So 200GBs on a 2Meg line, isn't the same as 200GBs on a 10Meg line. Business accounts have higher thresholds. So that's why if you need 200GBs daytime usage on a 2meg line it's better to get business, while 200GBs daytime usage usage on a 10Meg line is nothing.

Of course midnight downloads don't count on all accounts.
