I know this has been discussed, but I am hopeless with this sort of thing, so I just need a quick answer, if possible.

Two weeks ago my business DSL line kept dropping. I logged a fault with Telkom and this morning their tech checked the line and said it is fine. I di my own speed test and got Download of .60Mb/s, Upload of .43Mb/s and a Ping of 10ms and heres what shocked me - 60% slower than the rest of SA !! My office is in Briardene, North Durban.

He then said I should look at changing my Billion 400G router for a Netgear router. Up till 2 weeks ago, I had no problems with Billion. Today I did not have a "steady" connection until 09:45 and international web sites are almost impossible to connect to (keep timing out).

I have 1 PC connected to the router and I dont use wireless, but may need it in the future. My OS is Win7 64bit and the dsl option I have is Faster DSL.

Do you agree I need a new router and what will be the most relaible router suitable for my small business.

Thanks
