Hi all,
My DSL line along with the phone line went dead mid-Friday - Saturday the techies came and the phone line was back up and my DSL line was sync'ing at it's usual 511/4095 - since then my router just gives me the following:
00:19:23 PPPoE*send*PADI
00:19:15 PPPoE*send*PADI
00:19:09 PPPoE*send*PADI
00:19:01 PPPoE*send*PADI
00:18:53 PPPoE*send*PADI
00:18:45 PPPoE*send*PADI
00:18:45 Dial*On*Demand(PPPoE1)
I've been rebooting the router on and off every few hours and logged a line fault with WA who have in turn logged a fault with Telkom and since Monday nothing has happened. I phoned Telkom support foolishly hoping for them to be able to shed some light on the situation and got the "if the line is syncing it's not our problem" - after which I told them even the telkom guest account does not work, then they said they can escalate it for me.
If the DSL router is just saying what it is above, is that an exchange problem, a problem with my router, a problem with my connection from the phone outlet to my router, or what?
