I've been a loyal afrihost customer since you launched back in the dsl days.

The service has gone worse and worse over the years. Today its a bunch of bots on whatsapp.

Our openserve line stopped working on Thursday. I immediately logged a ticket and then openserve came out the next day. They said it's raining so they cant climb any poles but will send someone early in the morning as they can see from the ONT that the line is broken about 60m away. Then this morning nobody showed so I logged another ticket. The guy came and had no info about the issue so started over, testing the line again with his machine then saw the line is dead and asked where the pole is. I showed to him that it is in the corner of the yard and line going to some neighbor but unable to see exactly the direction, let alone how to get to that house as a lot of homes in this area are servitudes. He then drove up and down hooting at every gate around us and the street at the back. Nobody opened so he said nothing he can do further until I find out which neighbor it is and phone them for access...

This is ridiculous. Its their network. I'm the client, not part of the process to get it resolved.

I'm paying afrihost for a line that isn't working. When I reach out to afrihost on whatsapp its just a bunch of back and forth and saying a ticket is logged with openserve and they waiting for them

Ps. I seem to have lost access to my 2fa key for mybb so had to create this AfriClient account. If any MyBB admin can help me reset the 2FA by proving access to my email and number linked to the account, that would be highly appreciated

I sincerely wish you luck in your efforts to get value out of the service you are currently paying for. I have to ride out my 30 day cancellation with a broken internet. I decided to cancel because it's been 3 months since I first logged my ticket.

Good morning.

Thank you for your message, and I’m sorry to hear about the frustration you've experienced with this fault. I completely understand how disruptive this situation must be.

I'd just like to clarify a few points regarding the process. Faults on the Openserve network are handled directly by Openserve technicians, and turnaround times can take up to 72 hours depending on the nature of the issue. In some cases, external contractors are assigned, which can unfortunately result in inconsistent communication or repeated assessments, as you’ve experienced.
