DSL subscription

Did you intentionally leave out the rest of your username?

The complete username usually looks like this: [email protected]

Also, many years ago when I first got ADSL, you had to verify the line on the Telkom website so that Telkom's billing system knows when you started to use it. Don't know if you still have to do that?

The one Vox sent me ends with @Vox

I'm going to try with @dsl.vox.co.za

The Telkom line was already active and the landlord never canceled it, the previous tenant had DSL so I don't think any activation is needed, any way there's no order number since nothing was ordered with Telkom.

The landlord phoned Telkom and they said they blocked the line as they detected a change of ISP and it should have been unblocked by 9pm but nothing.

There should be stats in your router that tell you what you are syncing at.

What I get from the router is the following:

Last question, since I took a capped connection, is there any way I can set up a data usage counter in the router itself?

Or not possible and should I just rely on my ISP's one instead?

Up, anyone?

My username also ends @Vox

I'm not sure what the landlord pays for, I just have the line number and an invoice for R194.9 without the detail of the services provided.

Can Vox supply the DSL line? Or does the landlord need to do it with Telkom?

The previous tenant had DSL.

That price is only landline. No ADSL. The owner will have to contact Telkom. My account is in wife's name and Telkom refuse to speak to me. First they need account owners permission.

We managed to sort that out finally.

Then I got a DSL line + data with MWEB and cancelled Vox.

Then spent one week having issues with Mweb until we found where the issue was (an obscure setting VCI or something like that in the router)!
