Every year in December, my wife ask me to buy a Showmax voucher, so that she can binge watch Afrikaans shows. That is probably a secret weapon or at least an advantage over the other players.

Nothing secret, paid promotional article. Having said this, The problem is not Supersport, but rather SABC and others that are too useless to compete on broadcasting rights. Supersport is doing a lot for SA Sport but their current business model is also not sustainable. I think their license conditions must change that they can and must broadcast at least x% of sport on non-decoded manner so that sport is more available to the public, in return they will have increased advertising revenue. Another revenue stream for them could be sports betting directly from the streaming device. I think it can be massive generator if they make it easy to sit on your couch and place bets. This can save them.

Wonder how they get to 34 490 hours of sport last year. 365 days only gives 8760 hours a year. They claim they broadcast an average of 94.49 hours per day in of live sport. Does this include ads or not? (Summer Olympics 24 had 329 events in 32 Sports. . They claim 1200 events in 2900 hours on 19 days. How do they calculate it, is it per channel per day (8 I think). Don't they shut some channels as well. Repeats? I'm just asking, but it will be interesting if they give a brake down. YET WITH ALL SAID IN THEIR NUMEROUS ARTICLES, THE STILL LOOSE SUBS.

They learned from politici to fudge the numbers. They know 90% wil be impressed and not to fact check them

There is only a small portion of the population that is besotted with sport, everyone else has a healthy mental state. replacing premium customers with entry level ones does not count as growing client bases.

Disagree, it has become an out of sight, out of mind.

I have not spoken about sports in a social setting in a while.
