I'm sure they are fully aware this is their last golden ticketover the consumer.
Once they start loosing these rights they are 100% dead. TV and Movie streaming has already been lost to Netflix, Disney, Amazon etc. some time ago...

Do you think if someone else paid for the rights, they would just give them up as well?
It's not like they went and bought sports teams, or buying the sports commission or something that would actually prevent people from buying rights.
Okay a 5 year old article and apparently only at the official residence.
Wonder how they get to 34 490 hours of sport last year. 365 days only gives 8760 hours a year. They claim they broadcast an average of 94.49 hours per day in of live sport. Does this include ads or not? (Summer Olympics 24 had 329 events in 32 Sports. . They claim 1200 events in 2900 hours on 19 days. How do they calculate it, is it per channel per day (8 I think). Don't they shut some channels as well. Repeats? I'm just asking, but it will be interesting if they give a brake down. YET WITH ALL SAID IN THEIR NUMEROUS ARTICLES, THE STILL LOOSE SUBS.
