Hi,

This is currently installed to the lounge upstairs, but I'd like a 2nd point to the lounge downstairs. Any idea how much this would cost?

I *think* there is conduit running through the wall between both rooms (4m cable required), but I'm not going to try myself as I think I'll fsck something up.

Also - I heard it's better to run another cable from the dish than to split at the current point. What is so bad with splitting?

One Decoder? Then splitting at dish is not the way.
If you can drill through the floor (not always easy), just buy some AV cables and a splitter box.

Or get one of those Ellies video blaster jobbies (R600 or so).

Get one of those Wireless A/V Senders about R600

If the distance between the two points is not that big consider this.

Much more user friendly than drills and wires.

Just connect the sender at the decoder and connect the receiver at the 2nd tv and there you go.

Plus when you move one day you take it with

the other cable from the dish is for dual LNB's. It lets you watch 2 different channels at the same time with a PVR.

A splitter will do the job - it costs a few bucks.
