DSTV 990 Remote on a 910

I'm trying to use a 990 decoder's remote control on a 910 decoder. Is it possible to program the remote to work on another decoder?

no need to "program" anything: should work no problems. I prefer the old remote for watching tv in bed - i know where all the buttons are in the dark!
