Is anyone having issues with this? Have set my widescreen set to, obviously, widescreen, and all channels are fine for viewing DVDs fine for viewing, but the moment DSTV's Action goes to widescreen, I've lost the edges of the viewing. The only way to get this right is to change it so that the other channels are viewed in 4;3, in which case when Action goes to widescreen it fits perfectly, but watchng the other channels in 4:3 kinda ruins the purpose of a widescreen TV. Anyone else having this problem?

Action also only displays WS properly when I set everything else at 4:3, which is the setting I use to watch other channels as I don't like the stretching. I think the setting is "pillar box". But it is easy enough to change the settings on the fly to get to the screen mode you want...

was watching that stupid lost on an island program the other night while bored and the damn screen kept on jumping from widescreen to standard. Running a OLD 74cm Sony tv. was fuqing with my eyes:wtf:

Yeah I have noticed this as well but it always seems to auto-correct itself.

The issues I have with DSTV are:
1) Change channels from say 101 to 250 and go back to 101 .... then the volume settings are not saved from the previous viewing and you need to readjust the audio loudness.
2) Channels 104/105/106/254/260 take FOREVER to display the EPG (when you press i on your DSTV remote.
3) I have the premium account but not HD yet all the HD channels are displayed - annoying wheb channel surfing.

There are more but I dont recall them all now.

I hate it because widescreen movies have those white lines on top of them.

Annoying having to change it every time i flip channels.

If you have a widescreen TV and you see those stripes you have your DSTV decoder on the incorrect setting. You must set the decoder on 16:9 too, because now you are watching letterboxed which means you are watching a lower resolution image ;).
