Big deal DSTV, you can shove it! Where are the Super Sport channels SS1, SS2, for those of us who are not interested in soccer!

Guys, whats not in the article are what channels they are REMOVING

TCM and the home channel are being removed.

My wife is now proceeding to cancel her compact subscription entirely.

The plot thickens. TCM has some decent shows actually.

MultiChoice said that all channels will be available on 13 November 2012, from 10:00.

sync your watches and set your alarm clocks everybody- you dont want to miss blackbelt TV going live

Lol,what a waste of valuable spectrum. Rather leave the channels and add that bandwidth to current HD channels to improve quality.

KykNet Musiek (channel 146)- picard;
Mzansi Music (channel 321)- CoolE;
Blackbelt TV (channel 129)- nanfeishen;
Bay TV (channel 260)- MickeyD;
1 KZN (channel 261)- ponder;
Dumisa (channel 340)- Zululami.

Oi !!! What about VH1 Classic ???? :mad:

You're kidding :eek: surely not :eek: those are decent channels, especially Home. Oh man, that's just wrong!

It'll attract such a small viewer base that it must've been thrown in for free, niks, nada. Definitely a skip channel.

Agreed .. & I remember many of the movies on TCM when I first saw them on the big screen back in the 1960s :o

Still has plenty of decent movies showing.

Oi !!! What about VH1 Classic ???? :mad:

+1 ... it's the only channel in that list I'm looking forward to.

Agree 100%.

DStv should be concentrating on addding more HD content, and not wasting bandwidth on this BS.

it seems from this thread that DSTV's research team haven't quite nailed what people are REALLY asking for... less nonsense and BETTER channels.
Clearly no one here was asked about what new channels DSTV should introduce......

Get a friend in Angola to organise you a ZAP TV decoder and card and re-align your dish to W7 and you will get great programs (including SyFy) MANY in HD.

ESPN2? Aaai DSTV milking the aphids again. What utter crap.

Blackbelt TV looks interesting.
Kung-Fu movies. From the what I can tell it's more the top range movies and not those b-grade movies playing on Sony Max.
Some anime: Yes please
Plus it has a lot MMA, which has becoming growing sport in SA
