DSTV and Chromecast - keeps freezing

Anybody else having issues with DSTV and Chromecast. Mine has worked fine for over a year and this month it keeps freezing or dropping. The Chromecast is fine, as Youtube and other casting works fine, the issue appears to be with DSTV app. It makes no difference if I cast from the phone app or from my laptop. It will sometimes play for a few minutes and other times for a few hours.
 
I had similar problem. I reset the Chromecast and that fixed it

I have done complete re-sets and the problem remains. I posted on our local community group and many are having the same issue and it is only with DSTV.
 
I've experienced the same. My suspicion is that the periodic auth checks are failing after the handoff to the chromecast.
 
I have the same issue. Factory reset didn’t help. I can connect dstv to the Chromecast but when I try to play video the little circle in the corner just keeps on turning. Lions test is starting in an hour :(
 
It is most definitely and issue with DSTV and some authorization code to the Chromecast as it only happens when trying to stream DSTV. I watch YouTube and Showmax with no problems.. I can also stream DSTV to my TV as long as I use a HDMI cable, which is a pain.

Yip, they have obviously messed with the App once again as all my friends are experiencing similar issues. You cannot watch Live DSTV via the App anymore but works fine from my laptop,
