Hi People

DSTV BoxOffice has just shown up on the hd pvr playlist. There are only three movies to rent @ R29 a pop, which I think is quite reasonable with all of them being HD. Have anyone else seen this ?

R29 to rent a movie?

It's cheaper to drive to a video store and back to rent a movie.

Our Mr Video asks R25 a movie which has to be back the next day before 12, with boxoffice you can keep the movies for 48h and you don't have to use any fuel.

Awesome, it's about time. I don't have access to my PVR at the moment, what kinda movies are they making available, are they latest blockbusters etc? The price will come down with demand, R29 is not too much when you take into consideration the time and travel to rent a physical DVD.

there aren't any great movies, yet. They are Ghost Writer, My Soul to take and Spread.

R20 would be reasonable ;)
Come on DSTV stop raping us.

Dont see this on my SD PVR, so assume only on the HD PVR :(

Which HDPVR do you have?
Original black Pace, Silver UEC or smaller new Pace 2P?

All old movies. Spread is being repeated on MM1 daily.

Bloody expensive is this is the price for old movies already showing on mm1

Haven't seen any of those so glad they not old movies, goodtimes!

At my local Blockbuster I can rent Blu-Ray discs for R15. This is on contract of-course but the contract is less than 50% of one month premium subscription.

Well, it seems there is something brewing. Another user (of whom I shall protect the identify) had posted an image on the Boxoffice thread on the DStv forum, but it fell victim to the MC ninja deletion skills. The post was taken down within about an hour. I have not seen anything on my DStv, but for all your viewing enjoyment, proof that DStv BoxOffice is coming...

Since you can "OK to rent", I wonder how MC will know that you're watching the movie?

PS: If said user sees their image here - Thanks!
