DSTV BoxOffice

Well, it seems there is something brewing. Another user (of whom I shall protect the identify) had posted an image on the Boxoffice thread on the DStv forum, but it fell victim to the MC ninja deletion skills.

Saw that as well, guess what will be the first reason if someone brings this up...spam filter:rolleyes:

At my local Blockbuster I can rent Blu-Ray discs for R15. This is on contract of-course but the contract is less than 50% of one month premium subscription.

+2
I think most regulars are on contract, and that is when my 1080p BluRay GUARANTEED HD option makes R29 look very pricey!
And besides, I thought Box Office was supposed to release films come in before the Video Store Rental Window, hence the more expensive pricing??

Hopefully the new VOD:TV service will launch in September on schedule and give us a true VOD/psuedo-Netflix type service.

I made a snarky comment commending their ninja edits and that got deleted as well. Besides, the spam filter blocks the post for public viewing until it has been approved. How was I able to obtain the image and screenshots with the user's and my post before they................. well, let's see them explain their way out of this one... Oh, MC, you bring joy to my insomnia engulfed nights.

R 29 is a rip-off of NOTE. I have a contract at my video shop (Video Tavern) and I can rent Blu-ray or DVD for R 7 each. Plus it's just around the corner.

I will not pay more than R20 for a movie - and even it it will have to be something not available to rent from stores yet. If it is already available to rent I will pay R15 max.

hey guys, how do I access the BoxOffice menu? Is it tvguide>dstv on demand> box office?

Also, would I need to do a software/firmware update to see this new menu?

All old movies. Spread is being repeated on MM1 daily.

Bloody expensive is this is the price for old movies already showing on mm1

Sent from my HTC Desire using MyBroadband Android App

At this price I expect new releases and nothing less. If they are just testing the service though that is understandable, but knowing monochoice, I somehow doubt it.
