Your point being?Isn't ESPN2 the NBA channel?
and another R140 for Multiview/extraview or whatever they call it.It's R470 and tack on another R115 for PVR functionality
And yet you the first to comment negatively on every DSTV thread?Aaaand that's precisely why I won'tI actually don't care about DStv one way or the other but they all get so upset and defensive about it.
The only people worse than DStv subscribers are people who watch SABC. And really the only reason I comment on it is because it gets people like you so very worked up. It's a little game I like to call "how long can I keep an idiot busy"And yet you the first to comment negatively on every DSTV thread?
Shame, getting tired of SABC?
They are 59/4 already

I have said many times on this forum that I have cancelled dstv a few years ago as we not really watching sport anymore. The only people worse than DStv subscribers are people who watch SABC. Apparently someone either didn't read my comment or didn't get it. But sure. Let's see how long it takes you. And round 3 of "how long can I keep an idiot busy" kicks off.I have said many times on this forum that I have cancelled dstv a few years ago as we not really watching sport anymore.
The difference is I know when you talking facts and not just thumb sucking, there is no better value for a sports enthusiast than DSTV. So anyone claiming otherwise is talking through their ass. Come with the facts, show us how much only half of the sport on dstv will cost if you stream it.
I think that's the streaming only version of the packageMaybe you should let DStv know to update their website?

Ah, could be.I think that's the streaming only version of the package
However, if you only watch one sport, say F1, then other platforms like F1TV for like R87 per month look far more tempting than splashing out on DSTV Premium.I have said many times on this forum that I have cancelled dstv a few years ago as we not really watching sport anymore.

Yes individual preferences, everyone should do their own research. Fact remain, for the amount and quality of sport that dstv offer, the price is s bargain, even if you just watch half of it.However, if you only watch one sport, say F1, then other platforms like F1TV for like R87 per month look far more tempting than splashing out on DSTV Premium.
The sports angle is going to shrink as further organizations like FIFA get their own streaming platforms.
See, to me that's still incredibly bad value.Yes individual preferences, everyone should do their own research. Fact remain, for the amount and quality of sport that dstv offer, the price is s bargain, even if you just watch half of it.
I also have F1tv and people are quick to always refer to the cost of the subscription. But they never mention that MotoGp subscription is about R500 a month.
So even if you only enjoy a few sports it will cost you more to stream than dstv. Most will not be as cheap as F1tv and I expect F1tv prices to rise soon
You're missing his point. As much as I dislike multichoice I don't think there's another provider anywhere in the world with the variety and quantity of sports that they have available. And if you were to piece together a bundle that has something similar (F1, virtually all international rugby, international and domestic cricket, PGA tour, DP world tour, WTA, ATP, MotoGP, most big boxing fights, European and international football etc, etc) you'd end up at quite a bit more than the DStv price.See, to me that's still incredibly bad value.
This is probably my age bracket speaking, but I can't possibly justify that cost to watch sports and news and the one movie I have seen 20 billion times already AGAIN.
And still having to pay for Internet on top of that.
And innumerable channels all running old TV shows that I have seen every episode of.
Only to watch at specific times and not whenever I want. That is, if I have forgotten to PVR the thing. Although, you'd have to factor loadshedding backup into that....
As someone now used to Netflix and Prime Video, the thought of going to satellite TV just frustrates me.
Now a live-streaming sports platform would be excellent. Showmax but Supersport.
There is a lot to watch. Frankly I do not watch any other than cricket. But if you look at 7 channels. Sports on DStv is actually cheap if you enjoy it. I don't sit around watching a test match all the time, but like to have it on in background while I do other things. You're missing his point.
