In India you can get access to almost everything DSTV is offering for Rs8000 per year, which is roughly equivalent to R1,800 for the entire year.

Yes and company will pay tv rights to show it in a specific country. Easier to pay that rights if you have 1.4 billion potential customers to pay subscription and watching ads against 60mil people, so you can make fees much cheaper. Thats why their Disney+ is also R30/m

Ag please. You claimed access to "almost everything dstv have" for Rs8000. So give us the link to that satellite service or streaming service. Not Disney plus and some free streaming service.
Otherwise just admit you were thumb sucking again

Yes its always easy to claim we have sports. Like Peacock tv, But the "sports" is beach volleyball, table tennis, some small soccer league or just random premership matches here and there. You made a claim of almost the same, so show us something that had all or almost all the sport dstv have. Dstv has all local and int rugby, and all cricket, all international golf, tennis. About every important motor racing there is, all Olympics, all world cups, all athletics. Cycling, swimming. Superbowl etc etc.
Every DSTV thread on MBB you all come with a lot of BS but no facts so we can compare apples with apples.

Look those services up for exactly what sports each of those services have, I used bing earlier, all the major sports I've searched international cricket, IPL, Champions League, ATP, IAAF and La Liga were on one the those 3 streaming services with the exception of Rugby and F1 which had their own streaming services. These 5 streaming services cost Rs8000 annually.
 
unless you go for an iptv service, there is no legit service that will get you the same sports as dstv anywhere in the world.

Firstly IPTV services are not legitimate, 2ndly in most cases getting the multiple services that will give you access to the sports that DSTV, actually work out to be cheaper than DSTV after adjusting for purchasing power in most places

What do you mean by IPTV services ? Are you saying Hulu, Netflix etc. are not legitimate ?

Those services market themselves as "Streaming Services" not IPTV, services that advertise themselves as IPTV services almost always are companies that offer pirate streams to 100s if not 1000s of TV channels.

They are IPTV providers. Hence the name . Internet Protocol TV.

Google IPTV services and see what comes up. For the layperson IPTV is a very specific type of IPTV service.
