DSTV Date : 1921 !!!!

My DSTV Decoder shows the date as 9 November 1921 !!!!!

Does anybody else have this problem ?

The Electronic Program Guide does not work as well. I suppose there was not anything to watch back in 1921.

It is not possible to adjust the date. Only the time can be adjusted in 1 hour increments. I assume that the time and date is sent via the satellite.

just reset will go back to normal

or pick the phone and phone them

Problem fixed !!

Hey you guys are witty !!!!

Problem is fixed. Normal reset did not work. "Reset to factory defaults" on the menu options did the trick !

Now I am back to the present.

it should reset itself if you unplug and replug in again.

Sometimes you have to do a Reset to Factory to get things working again, some very buggy decoders out there!
