DSTV Discount - Shareholder account - Access fee payment

Not that I am ungrateful for the discount, but WHAT A ****ING CHEEK. For years they have included the discount on the access fee, and now all of a sudden they change it. Are they REALLY so desperate for that extra R13?!

.....my immediate thought when reading that was exactly the opposite... is an extra R13 really worth a rant on a forum? Or was the intention really just to rub in the rest of our faces the fact that you get a 20% discount for something the rest of us pay a crap load for?

I am certain that economics of scale is at play here, if they have a couple of thousand employees each now paying an additional R13 they are certainly pocketing some extra bucks. But then again, is a couple of R13's really worth losing some employee morale.

I don't get the discount, an extended family member does. And yes it was worth ranting because I despise multichoice with a passion.
