DSTV Drifta

howsit Guys,

Im new to the forum..go easy on me :)

DTSV did anyone come right with increasing the resolution? I tried using QZOOM but the drifta app just goes blank. I have some eyesight issues :( The drifta firmware doesnt support that older fix for the full screen.

Any suggestions?

Just a note - you cannot increase the resolution but I suspect you just picked the wrong phrase. If you're looking to enlarge the picture I'd suggest the Windows Magnifier tool. Does the job for me!
 
yeah Ive tried Qzoom , Zoom IT and windows magnifier without success. The drifta app just goes to a black screen when zoomed....any idea?
 
Anyone know how to solve the cont initialize display error message? Trying to run the drifta on my desktop and have updated display drivers but still get this message.

That's really strange. I have no idea why the screen would go black when zoomed. Definitely not the case when I use Window's magnifier. What version of Windows are you running?

If you use a older version of the app, you can run it on a jailbroken device, it doesnt check to see if the device is jailbroken, you just cant update the app or it will complain again.
 
Just a general question. I don't have DSTV, and was wondering if i bought a Drifta, but used my folks account, etc, could i use the drifta? or is there something i'm missing? Thanks

If you got a drifta on your folks account and if they have a premium subscription, then it free... I think.

Still pretty pissed off that the drifta doesn't support android honeycomb. Rather epic fail from DStv.
 
Hi Guys.. Does anyone have any idea if the drifta network is expanding? No signal at my place of work..:(

I have just seen a tivizen dvb-t android app on the market. I think tivizen is the same company that made the drifta.i am downloading the app now but will only be able to test it with drifta on my gt p7500 later tonight.

Anyone wanna give it bash and let us know.

Very frustrating waiting for dstv to come up with an app for honeycomb/android 3.

Hi nickza,

Just downloaded the tivizen dvb-t app and it doesn't recognize the Drifta. The Drifta is connected to the tablet but the app doesn't "see" it as an accessory.

Time for the next experiment :)

DVB-T is for digital terrestial broadcast. DSTV mobile broadcast on DVB-H, so the app will not work with the drifta.

Dstv released an app for honeycomb. Check it out on the market. But it won't work on rooted devices.

Anyone able to fix that?
