DStv EasyView vs Openview - Subscription price, installation costs, and channel lists compared

Moved over from premium to openview two years ago.. Can't say I miss dstv and the exorbitant price.

Can use same dish and setup as DSTV on Openview, so if already have DSTV setup, just plug in the Openview decoder.

"The installation cost used in this comparison, therefore, reflects both the price of the decoder and the necessary installation.

The cost of an Openview installation is R1,599, while it will cost around R599 for an HD DStv decoder with installation included.

Considering that it will cost significantly more to install Openview than DStv EasyView, the R29-per-month charge for DStv EasyView is essentially absorbed for the first three years."

Uhm. Then why don't you just buy the DSTV decoder with installation included to get the Dish installed at R599.
Then you drive over the DSTV decoder with your car and use the Openview decoder on the dish?
Save R1000 and get rid of some lockdown anger to boot. :-P

All fairness, this OpenView and its offering are aimed for i don't watch TV or should I say the class that care bout sports and just something on TV, Still the R29 from DSTV is a decent but still I wanna have the TV on offering and don't think anyone under 30 will take this...this is more for the old age homes

Why compare to Openview? Starsat is more comparable to Dstv's offering.
