Go with the assumption that everything you do / watch / surf /stream etc is available to your ISP or Content Provider.
 
Marketing companies like Ogilvy and TCC will have this info easily.

No they dont and if they did have a access to some of it they would need your permission to be contacted.

Ogilvy and TCC dont have engineers or data sciences actively perusing databases trying to spot opportunities for marketing.

Every client in the world wants someone keeping tabs on their data to spot insights and activate campaigns, a combination of human nature (laziness) and budget constraints make this near on impossible.

It’s a comprehensive data report, right down to primary and secondary smartcards.
If I had your smart card number I’d load your ad breaks with sanitary towel & condom brands.

And how do you suppose that info is delivered to them?

Only one way (besides a few marketing volunteers) - IF, I repeat IF, you have an Explora connected to the net and have given the s/w permission to gather stats.
Otherwise NOT, I repeat NOT, possible.

His decoder is only connected via the satellite. It is physically impossible for it to send data back upwards to DSTV's satellite in space. The decoders do not posses the hardware to send data backwards to the satellite.

No, you are all wrong

Not only can DSTV staff (even cleaners and casuals) see what channel you watch, they can via the webcam in your TV, watch every move you make in your TV room or bedroom

I read this on Fox News and also brandnewtube.com, so it must be true
