DStv Explora 2 with Smart LNB setup required

Hi Need Help with the following

Lounge - Explora 2
bedroom - Explora 2
outbuilding - Explora 1
Patio - Decoder 5u

Just checking, you do know that will require at least two subscriptions right?

Im Fully aware of it if I leave out the 5U model and perhaps use a splitter than I don't need a 2nd subscription

Connect all the xploras to the unicable ports on the smart lnb..

You should not need heartbeat cable between the two xplora 2s if you pair them as primary and secondary on one subscription..

Xplora 1 to unicable port on smart lnb and 5u to the universal port on the smart lnb.. xplora is primary 5u secondary and heartbeat cable between the two..

You may need to use alternate channels(not TV channels) on the tuners for each of the exploras.. will post back here if I can confirm that..

Yes, but you need the smart switch in that case.. two cables from the lnb into the H/L and V/L ports of the smart switch and one cable to the explora from port A on the smart switch..

This is for the older explora, I am not sure on the newer one, but would venture a guess that the same would work on the new one as well..

Personally I would just upgrade to the smart LNB.. future proof and less cables to manage..
