Hi Guys...

im a new member to the forum, so Hello to everyone.
I trust you guys are well.

I recently moved into a new complex with only a single LNB port.
I went out and got myself the DSTV Explora.
Unfortunately I only manage to get a handful of channels, limited recording, no catch up etc.
im aware that the Explora requires 2 LNB cables to the Explora Switch.
Due to me being in the complex I cannot install my own dish.

With you guys expert advice, im hoping someone out there can help me.
Is there any workaround to this?

Thanks in advance guys.
hope to hear some feedback real soon.

Check with your BC they may have the network settings required for PVR - if they installed the system that way.

Thanks for the reply...

I have spoken to my building supervisor and building DSTV installer, but with no solid outcome.
Apparently a few people in the building suffered with the same problem, but it has been fixed.
The guy said that the other residents are using the 2 Tuner HD PVR.
im using the Explora and there is no "settings" available for the Explora.

im paying for the Premium package with PVR functions, but its like a the Standard package, LOL....no but seriously...it aint funny.

Please help guys....

There are settings available for the Explora on IF conversion systems... Tell the installer to call Space TV for instructions. Where are you located?

Thanks for your reply bud...
he hasn't got back to me since a few weeks now, kept saying there are no settings available.
Everytime I send him a message, he reads it but doesn't reply.

im based in Durban, Umhlanga

Any chance, I can insert these settings myself?

Call Space TV Durban. Speak to David... If you have one of our systems installed, he will be able to assist.

Thanks Quantum...
ive emailed from the Space TV website.

David will get back to me shortly.

Thanks a million buddy :)

Hey guys...

Success, Thanks to all the guys on the forum.
I managed to research and retrieve some settings, so now all is well...up and running as it should.
I headed the SMATV route with some custom frequencies.
I can confidently confirm that :
All channels SD/HD work except MNET and True Movies ( That's till I figure out one more setting)
Tv guide and recording work
Catch up works
Box office works

Thanks again guys for all the help and input, much much appreciated.

Only if the correct type of system is installed at the complex...

Just want to resurrect this thread please.

Keen on getting myself a DSTV Explora, but first want to know if it will work with a single cable + splitter on it.

I live in a complex and we only have a single cable feed, so cannot get dual cable feed.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you for the reply Quantum Theory, I have contacted Johann already. :)
