Need to set up extraview with:
1. Explora ultra
2. HD PVR 2P
3. Smart Lnb 502
The Explora is the primary device but only has one satellite connection. The Smart Lnb is connected to this point on the Explora.
Apparently the "heart beat" is sent from this single connection point to the Smart Lnb (Lmx502).
The second cable is connected to the HD PVR on "SatCr" connection piont.
All seem to be working except secondary is waiting for the heartbeat.
Stuck at this point.
Do I need a "diplexer" to bleed the heartbeat off the signal from the Lnb?
If so where would the second cable from the diplexer (carrying the heartbeat) be connected.
RF in/out?

Very likely, fairly sure that heartbeat (HB) direct via LNB is only available from one of the Explora models onwards.

If so where would the second cable from the diplexer (carrying the heartbeat) be connected.
RF in/out?

And quite sure by the time the 2P came out there was a choice for which port here - check the menus. If still unsure, RF Out is the only choice on some older decoders.

Never came across an attempt like this before - if you struggle, maybe better to source the HB directly from the Ultra via the diplexer.
And be warned; diplexers are tricky, and the market and its labeling make the confusion worse. All the best with it.
