DStv HD improvement

It is not about quality... It is about broadcast efficiency. New modulation. Switchover appears to have gone down smoothly, so far, but people with problems will likely only notice it after work today.

Maybe it's my imagination or just the content but quality of HD seems lower?

Never personally experienced this. Which channels... and with what kind of content?

Only noticed it on the movie channels and where there's mainly gradient colours on the screen. Not sure if it's rubbish encoding on Dstv's side or my TV, using a Samsung LED TV.

Not sure if Blu-ray suffers from the same thing...
