Could not find anything related on the interwebs (maybe my friend Google is letting me down), so I thought I'd ask the knowledgeable folks here.

I finally got myself a DSTV Explora. When changing channels (using the P+/P- button), the info bar reflects the details for the current channel program for about 1 second, then it switches to some arbitrary program info, before sometimes switching back to the current program info (after about 3-4 seconds).

The arb info seems to be either -
1.) something that was previously shown on that channel, or something still to come (not sure which, as the time displays are random times), or
2.) sometimes it's info related to a program from a previous channel or channels, stating what appears to be how long ago (e.g.7min) I was watching that.

Now this does not happen every time I switch channels - sometimes the info is correct and does not change. But it is rather constant and can be replicated time and time again. There does not seem to be a pattern related to any specific channels that behave in this manner, nor does it appear to relate to how long I was on any channel before changing.

I have not picked it up whilst changing channels by inputting the channel number, so it appears to be related to using the channel up/down button. When pressing the info button, the correct details display and it does not change to any arb info. I have changed various settings related to the I-panel (i.e. number of display lines/show or hide help), but that does not make any difference. Reboots don't help either.

My secondary decoder (an old 4U) does not do this.

Whilst it's no train smash, it does get rather irritating.

Anyone know the cause/remedy for this?

I'm experiencing the exact same issue. Very frustrating...

Were you able to find a solution?
