Am getting quoted ~R2500 for a steel/aluminium composite dish installation after my previous one rusted and the arm just about fell off after 6 years. Dish still seems 100%, but apparently it’s a package deal. Sound right?

Doesn’t seem particularly economical when I can get a decoder plus dish and installation off takealot for R699. Would take 20+ years to break even at that rate.

Not here to name and shame, just wondering if that’s the rate and if so, unless it lasts at least 5 times as long and ur sure ur gonna be staying at the same place 20+ years later it just doesn’t seem to make economic sense.
