How do you get an extra connection and how much does it cost?

Also if you have the DSTV input on the external connection, can you still watch SABC, ETV and then have a seperate channel dedicated to DSTV?

I think you need to rethink your questions, as i don't really understand what you are asking.

dont even know what you asking mate. rephrase

Ok

DSTV upstairs standard decoder. No dual view.
My room has the DSTV spilt connection.

But I cant get SABC, ETV, auto tuning only finds the DSTV channel.
How can I have SABC, ETV and then DSTV on a seperate channel?

So if you don't have an aerial, how are you going to receive terrestrial broadcast?

Aerial or "Dualview"

I honestly fail to see how this will help you:confused:? Unless you have a dual view decoder, your single view decoder has only one output, unless you also have a terestrial antenna in place.

Yip! Looks like I have to use one for DSTV and the other for a "terrestrial" antenna...

Unless theres another option?

If i have another decoder, will I need to pay another subscription?

There is DSTV XtraView now. you need two xtraview capable decoders and you pay an extra R60 per month.

Seriously... Put up an antenna. Run it into the RF IN of the DSTV decoder. Split the RF OUT with an F-type 2-way splitter to the 2 TV's... or use a setback amp with a High and Low output if you have a long cable run.

Problem solved.
