DSTV maybe in for stiff competition

A small thing that always pisses me off is the User Interface that looks like something out of the early 80s!!!! It's buggy as hell.
DSTV makes roughly 430 million bucks each month from it’s DSTV subscribers in South Africa alone. This does not include the 217000 analogue-Mnet subscribers or the rest of the continent.
They are making a killing out of the same k@k that they loop for days on end on our TV screens.
There are more than 27000 (TV&Radio) satellite channels broadcasted over the world and DSTV only has 50+ TV and 40 Audio channels.
In other European countries they pay only R320 a month for 150+ TV channels.
There are more than 7 Satellites other than PAS 7/10 that can be received with a 90cm KU-band dish from within South Africa. Some of these satellites offer some interesting viewing and feeds.

Do you guys remember the time when the rand weakened to between R11-R12 and DSTV was quick to raise subscription prices, but now its at R7 and they did flip all by reducing that same cost. Im just curious why all DSTV subscribers did not make a noise about this ( or have they and i dont know anything about it ? )
DSTV is not BAD
I would stick with DSTV, no way im giving telkom more money, anyway DSTV rocks for sport fans, i get to watch all the soccer (EPL), i can watch F1 live and i get to watch some movies ive missed...

I hear etv will be making its own local soft-core porn for its premium channel friday evening viewing. Its sports channel will show Chuck Norris videos for 6 hours a day, repeated four times a day! And Felicia while be permanently on E, she gets a dedicated channel.
