Blade, if you're serious about transformation, develop a decent policy, deliver on what the policy says, appoint qualified ministers to head the sector and make sure he/she is warned upfront that corruption won't be tolerated. GIGO - garbage in, garbage out

I think this is a bigger challenge. Isn't the middle class supposed to the "ordinary" people? Why is the middle class in SA seen as "rich" and ordinary people as "poor" (I assume from his statement). Why not rather focus on making sure that the middle class is the majority of people in SA.
 
The true reason for this is that Naspers is just about the only major media house not controlled by the ANC or the unions, or by one of their tenderpreuniarial minions, or by the Guptas. And they simply cannot handle not having full spectrum local media control. Far from Naspers being a monopoly, it is the only remaining media house relatively independent of ANC spin.

Indeed.

Not to add the gobsmacking irony that the speaker is a Communist and thus advocates policies of wholesale nationalisations, which is just another way of saying state-mandated monopolies. Blade is the archetypal advocate of monopolies. State monopolies. If he had his way it'd be against the law to complete with the state's monopolies. So also a fascist thug to boot.

What about the monopolies of:
Telkom
Eskimo
Postnet
Prasa
SABC

All of which are under government control and can be broken up at a moments notice.
 
Telkom is no longer a monopoly. Just partially state-owned.
Postnet is a private company. But the Post Office has a certain monopoly of sorts, in ordinary mail carriage.
