I know ecw used to air on syfy, and aparently once wwe Smackdowns contract is up with there current broadaster ( I think its usa network) they will be moving to syfy.

Why not get rid of some of the BS channels and add more HD content? Why is there a horse racing channel? Who watches Africa Magic? It is very much like the foam "kaaskrulle" inside a box - just filling.

I see Robotech is playing on that channel for the ou toppies. Even my father watches it.

One could say the same for some of the other channels as well (rugby rugby rugby, Koowe, MK and more KykNT)

In SA it does. It doesnt take a genius to see what market Monochoice are targetting with soccer and R&B. And believe me, it aint Afrikaners...

Would it not be better for MC to have more target orrientated packages ... if you catch my drift. I know Compact is driven at a certain audience, but I see flaws in the channel selection. I seriously think they need to re-evaluate their current packages ... not in terms of how many premium channels one can get for a certain price, rather a better grouping of channels. Oh well that was a waste of typing!

Ahhh Robotech. I watched that when it originally aired way back when. Awesome series! I actually have the first series on DVD. Surprised to find that quite a few scenes were cut from what I originally saw on SABC. Guess the censor board though some of it was a bit much for us young folk back then.

If only we could get SKY TV and UK channels esp. Chan 4. I mean how hard is it? Oh and today after weeks of demand letters from Monochoice lawyers for under R300 since I cancelled my service, I get a settlement proposal for under R300. Idiots.

DSTV will be adding 3 new channels on 12 June, the one being Mzansi Magic. The other two will be KidsCo & AfroMusic, they will be added to the Pas7 (the southern africa satellite), so I'm sure we will also get them.

SABC censored Californication's swearing and removed all of the sex scenes too. They still rated it 18 though and aired it at midnight on the weekends. It basically became a 15 minute show with David Duchovny mostly begging for sex from his ex and driving his daughter around. I PVR'd them because I missed a few episodes on Mnet but it was an absolute waste...
