I cannot set a remote recording via my S8 anymore.
Was fine until 2 days ago.
I went through all the checks on my Explora with DSTV via live chat and they all work.
They then asked me to check my download and upload speed which was 1.89 and 1.08.
I use Wi-Fi.
Their response was that I need at least a 4mb download and upload speed.
When I said that it was working fine before with the speeds mentioned they kept saying it has to be 4mb.
I asked my son to check his and his is 1
41 and his app is working.

That is a bit slow. Perhaps try it when it is faster, or see what you can do to improve the speed. 1.89 on a 2 mbps line is acceptable
A direct cable connection improves things to be sure. It did for me and my Apple Airport is only 3m from the DSTV receiver
You might be getting channel interference from a neighbour's router or Access Point. On an Android phone, there is a superb WiFi Analyser that can help diagnose this
