Hi all,

Please could you assist in providing feedback regarding the following:
1. When my DSTV decoder is connected to the WINTV PVR 150 tuner card via composite, I cannot play the video full screen on my PC. When I try to stretch the video it results in poor picture quality. Is there any way of getting around this?
2. When my DSTV decoder is connected to WINTV PVR 150 tuner card via RF, the card only picks up the free to air channels and not the DSTV signal. Is there any way to tune my card into the DSTV decoder frequency similar to how one tunes a normal TV when using RF?

Thank you

Chris

Make sure your RF is set on UHF and not VHF. Also look on the settings of the decoder to see what channel is used and enter it directly into WinTV. You should then get the picture without any hassles. One other thing make sure you are not set to cable as this will not allow you to pic up the signal.

I'm using my PVR 150 in full screen and via RCA cables - but then it's in Media Center Edition - wouldn't think this would make a difference though.

Thanks all.

I will play around with the settings to see i if i can get this to work

If you right click will you are watching tv there a few zoom options. Remember most of our transmissions are in 4:3 aspect ratio so if you want it to fill your widescreen tv, it will stretch the image.
