DSTV PayU System

Last week when my dstv payment was due I made a credit card payment and was directed to the PayU system which I believe is new for DSTV. After going through the process which involves creating an account I got the confirmation that my account is now fine then this morning I got disconnected and from the money I am owing it appears my payment didn't go through. Has anyone else faced a similar situation? Is the PayU system DOA?
 
No idea what PayU is but why don't you just pay by EFT?

Credit card payments reflects immediately while EFT takes a couple of days since I don't use the same bank as DSTV
 
Could also not pay with this system via credit card. Logged a fault with DSTV helpline, who were utterly clueless. Decided to cancel my subscription online rather. That, fortunately, did work. Happy with the end result.

No it doesn't. I've done three EFT's on different occasions from different banks and it reflects within about 15 minutes each time.

If you follow these steps and bank with one of the other major banks (FNB, Standard, Nedbank or Capitec) your payment may reflect on our systems within 15 minutes.

isn't PayU a 3rd party credit payment facilty I think i had problems with them and my banks 3d secure issues had to phone my banks credit card dept to fix. i think computicket use them too, it's bloody annoying i am constantly having trouble with it.

PayU is a Naspers thing.One would think it'll integrate better with nochoice systems.

I contacted their customer care and they told me to contact Multichoice who in turn shoulf take up the issue with them and Multichoice is not interested with that they just insist that the payment is not reflecting on their side. So annoying.

I did the same thing! It looks like the PayU system integration wasn't done with much thought as it doesn't include your account number as the reference (nor does it allow you to enter one). So I had to mail proof of payment from the bank to multichoice and tell them what account the payment was for. Also, that self help site is a quite a pain, it keeps logging me out at random times while I'm using it. Probably some load balancing configs gone wrong.
