I've personally watched tons of porn growing up, as its the natural thing to do if you're cool and "with it", and let me tell you it has a negative effect on ones psyche over a period of time. I'm just thankful I grew up and recognized that watching it is not the natural order of things. All it does is feed your lust and its even worse if you're in a relationship as I think of it as being unfaithful. I also happened to ask myself the question, if this porn is so natural and unharmful, then would I as a father allow my daughter to participate in this? I suppose you can figure out what my answer to that was.

So if DSTV do bring porn its just another avenue for youngsters to get into this rubbish, and even worse its another means for grown adult men to continue with this deadly habit and further help in destroying whats left of a frail society.

No not really, if you take a look at America for example (and ok, so EVERYONE uses them for examples, but that doesn't change the facts), they have had porn channels and what not for YEARS now and yet we are not better with our sexual crimes than they are, in fact we are WORSE! If America had the amount of rape crimes we have in a single day there would be outrage. Now why do you suppose we have such a high rate with no porn channels in sight, compared to a country that has hundreds?

Are you comparing the relatively educated (first world) minds of the US to the majority of our uneducated (3rd world) tribal* minds? Porn on tv is a bad idea. If you need porn so bad just use the net, making it even easier for young/tribal minds to access is never going to be a good thing.

Not to mention most of the rape, murders etc comes from the black population, i have not seen many people in townships watching porn off their 4 meg lines. Yes i am generalizing because it is a fact and no i am not racist. While i am not saying whites and other races are innocent i am just saying blaming tv for sick people is not quite right.

Well i agree with jak to a degree, i did push for hardcore porn style sex and thought i was dating a porn star who did not mind a good pounding, which is unrealistic to say the least. Then please answer this. If we dont have porn channels, how come we do have such a high rape rate in this country? Or the fact that some men believe you can rape a kid to cure yourself of HIV/Aids. Why not address the 3rd world issues instead? After all, those people happen to be the ones that can barely afford food, let alone a DSTV channel.
