Firstly, if up to me I'd probably cancel DStv & look at alternatives - like increasing ADSL speed, and using more streaming for live TV (news + sport), downloading mainly docs. (not interested in series).

However, the decision's not mine, so at present have access to Select 1.

I accept that programming is going to be repeated, but when I find something I really like watching new episodes of, I find it at the very least irritating that DStv are (as I write this), currently showing exactly the same episode of Country House Rescue on the Home channel (176), that they did last week.
There was some other episode on either the same channel or another yesterday I unfortunately didn't take note of, which was exactly the same - a repeat from last week.
What are they up to ?

They always (up to now, anyway) show a new episode at the start of the working week - Monday, so as it's now Tuesday, it's unlikely they're going to start a newer episode between Wednesday to Friday - they only have a few showings of this each week (about 3), as it is.

I've already phoned them to complain about this, and got a reference no.
Not sure if I should also write a mail to complain, or if what I've done has been fine enough to voice my discontent !? I've considered writing on their own forum, but not sure what that will achieve ?

I'm well aware that there are far more serious things going on in the world to worry about, but thought at least they should know they have one more dissatisfied customer by doing things like this !

People repeating their dissatisfaction with dstv is hitting a new low. You don't like it, unsubscribe.

The point is what I wrote / implied in the initial post - they shouldn't be repeating the SAME episode from one week to the next.

The only problem that I see here is that you watch Country House Rescue.

If I had a penny for every thread like this one, I could probably pay for all of your subs.

Seemingly, before it wasn't the only problem you had as you raised 2 other points before this one.
The only problem you seem to have is that you had no follow-up retort to the answers I gave, so have changed tack.

Not the least bit interested in what you think I should be watching - have a good life.

People complaining about people repeating their dissatisfaction with dstv is hitting a new low. You don't like it, don't read the thread.

Maybe I'm just envious that your life is so perfect that a repeat of Country Home Rescue is such a source of distress to you.

Thing that really starting to irritate me is when I want to watch something on the weekend, i.e flipping through channels and it's stuff that was on during the week.

I occasionally download "stuff" using the work adsl, really not keen to make that a habit.

That's not a new low, they hit that low years ago in fact since then they have gone lower than that
