DStv rolls out two new channels

Double digit subscription price hike in April for the 'extra value'

Curiositystream is available for $3 (straming).

Yes it is but I already have a DSTV subscription so it is adding benefit to it. I used to enjoy the history and Nat Geo and Discovery channels when it was still about history nature and science. Curiosity channel will just give a little bit more value to my current package.

CuriosityStream sounds awesome:

This channel’s programme includes non-fictional documentaries and series covering science, nature, technology, history, lifestyle, and society.

Its line-up includes shows such as Genius by Stephen Hawking, Wonders of Life, and Deep Time History

It is awesome.

It's also worthwhile signing up for their VOD streaming service. Loads of content there...

Pricelock FTW
FTW? Much like filling your tank the day before a petrol price increase you're only delaying the inevitable. The only people winning are DSTV. ;)

CuriosityStream does sound interesting - probably worth the $3.

Curiosity is an absolute win. Had a subscription a while back but was too busy to use it enough. Excellent quality content.

DSTV winning the same as Netflix winning the same as Prime video winning. I enjoy all three (Prime video not so much though) and I pay for what they offer. It might not be value for money for most people on MyBB but fror me it is.

Sure, but like I said, in response to your FTW, is that eventually you're going to be paying as much as everyone else. You're simply delaying the evincible.
